Jean de Franvil
Biography
Born
in French Guiana, South America, Jean de FRANVIL was raised as the youngest
of five children in a modest family. Since before he could walk, Jean had
an innate passion for dancing ; it was impossible for him to resist moving
when he heard any music. His dream of dancing started then and continued
to intrigue and tempt, however, the reality of an education took precedence
and Jean finished his Baccalaureate in Biology expecting to become a doctor.
Wanting to further his studies, but not having the finances, Jean chose
to enlist in a Military School in France. After being involve for 3 years
in the Military School and after being graduate Jean decided to quit the
Army to register at the Medecine University in Montpellier. Jean missed
his registration and was obliged to start working immediately in a publishing
company. A bored
Jean began to experiment with the night life and found a mutual friend in
a DJ whose music inspired Jean just as Jean’s dancing inspired the
DJ...
In Paris, Jean was discovered by the manager of Apocalypse, Patrick Leroy,
who took him to Saint Tropez to open the new Apocalypse, which naturally
turned into a management position . Soon after Jean became one of the top
DJ’S in France and commanded an audience of 2000 each night at the
Superstar in Nice ( 1983 ). One year after, Jean was entertaining such celebrities
at Elysée Matignon ( Paris ) as Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon,
Isabelle Adjani, Johnny Hallyday, Grace Jones, and Serge Gainsbourg to name
a few. This epoche proved to be the ‘break’ that Jean needed
to finally profit from his gift of song and dance-Jean’s destiny came
to him in the persona of two young music producers who proposed to him to
make his first single debut . This single, Paradise mi Amor (made by Jean’s
band, Lune de Miel), became the number one hit in France, Belgium, Switzerland,
Italy, Mexico and parts of South America during the entire next year obliging
Jean to tour extensively to follow his success.
In 1987 an exhausted Jean took a hiatus from song, and returned to his disco
life in Paris where he managed L’Aventure and, in 1988, became the
ArtisticManager for the very well-known discotheque, Olivia Valere, In 1989
Jean’s good friend, Prince Albert of Monaco, invited him to Monte
Carlo to attend the World Music Awards for the first time. This occasion
would prove to be a ten year relationship as Director of Public Relations
for the World Music Awards in France. During this tenure, Jean continued
an active role in entertainment while forging lifelong contacts with the
movers and shakers of the music world.
The Millennium was as good a time as any to launch a major comeback! But
this time Jean would take charge of his entire career which involved writing,
producing and publishing a release of his hit single Paradise mi Amor .Currently
Jean is working on a new album in South Miami Beach, with eleven new titles
. The incredible synergy in Miami feeds Jean’s creativity while at
the same time providing him with new possibilities.
